Thin-Film Lithium Cobalt Oxide for Lithium-Ion Batteries

چکیده

Lithium cobalt oxide (LCO) cathode has been widely applied in 3C products (computer, communication, and consumer), LCO films are currently the most promising materials for thin-film lithium batteries (TFBs) due to their high volumetric energy density favorable durability. Most thin fabricated by physical vapor deposition (PVD) techniques, while influence of preparation on materials’ properties electrochemical performance not highlighted. In this review, dominant effects (heating, substrate, power, atmosphere, etc.) summarized, other techniques (spin coating, sol–gel, atomic layer deposition, pulsed laser outlined. Moreover, modification strategies including bulk doping surface coating powder electrodes discussed detail. This review may pave way developing novel, durable, high-performance versatile methods TFB storage devices.
